Accessible voting

Short answer

Every Cook County polling place has at least one accessible touch-screen voting machine with audio, plus a seated voting booth and hand-held magnifiers. [1]

Getting help

You can bring someone to help you, or ask for help from two election judges, one from each party. Both sign an affidavit. [1]

Curbside voting

If your polling place is not accessible, you can vote curbside. The Cook County Clerk asks voters to request it at least a week before Election Day at (312) 603-0929. [1] The legal deadline is close of business the day before the election: April 5, 2027 for the April 6 election. [2]

Cook County also opens Election Day vote centers, where any voter in its jurisdiction can vote, with curbside voting. [2]

Voting by mail

Voters who are blind or print-disabled can request an accessible mail ballot at (312) 603-0976. [3]

Questions
